This website began as a campaign website for then South Ward City Council candidate Jim Coston in January of 2006. At the time, the hope was that the site would pay for itself through campaign fundraising. This hope was greatly exceeded through financial support, publicity and exposure of the candidate and his positions.
In June of 2006, Jim Coston was elected to Trenton's City Council by the people of the South Ward. The campaign site morphed into a Councilman site. Exposure, publicity, and most importantly dialogue increased as community news, interesting links and a daily Blog became ever more popular in and around Trenton.
It soon became obvious that this website could serve as venue for South Trenton: its businesses, neighborhoods, programs, civic associations and opportunities. This resource will assist you in buying, building, learning and participating in this vibrant community. Enjoy.
